Here's current pictures of the basement. Two guys have been working 8-9 hour days to get the framing done by Friday - Monday and Tuesday we're promised to see the electrician and the plumber, so we couldn't be happier with the speed of the project. It's amazing to see the progress each day.
We have had a few unexpected small complications. First, there is a lot of pounding down there. A LOT. Thank goodness we have not had any snow days this week because they work for about an hour after we get home and it is noisy! That pounding caused some cables to be knocked a little loose causing some poor TV reception on Monday night, till we figured out why. Time Warner came out Wednesday anyway to move some cables and so they were able to fix that. Our fireplace has also had a very weird smell to it since they started. We talked to the contractor about it today and he didn't know but had a "fireplace guy" he was going to check with. In the meantime, we're not using the fireplace. Luckily, it's been warmer and we haven't needed it as much as we did the last couple of weeks.
