Home Sweet Home Away From Home

We're staying at the president's house a t Mary baldwin college. It is the highest point on the campus and in Staunton. It was built in 1912 and was originally the commander's residence when this part of the campus was a military academy. It is beautifully restored and in fantastic shape. When Pam arrived in 2003 it was in disrepair. The kitchen was completely overhauled and can now host the gatheringd required of the building. The 70's shag carpet and astroturf were torn up to find beautiful hardwood floors underneath.

Lisa and I have our own huge bedroom looking out over Staunton, a king bed, and our own bathroom. There are antiques all around (but mostly on high shelves) including a clay pot from the second century! Our favorite spot is the screened porch which is just so cool and breezy. We'll show you all even more pictures of the house when we get home. We can really see why Dan and Pam love it here so much!
