Maria's Turn

This morning Maria got me up at 7:00 saying she wasn't feeling well. So we came out on the couch, and sure enough, she started throwing up soon after. Sam's had a few stomach viruses over the last month, so it seems like it's her turn. But she's had a long unpleasant day on the couch - and is still not much better. Even though she hasn't been feverish all day, she has a fever now, and has not eaten much of anything yet either. She is keeping water down, and that's an improvement from this morning.

If she has to stay home tomorrow (which looks to be pretty likely right now), she'll miss the first day in the new school. This is a day these kids have been looking forward to for a long time, and it makes her so sad to even think about it. If it is a 24 hour thing, she should be feeling much better in the morning. But we just don't know.

She also had to miss play practice tonight, and may have to miss tomorrow too if she doesn't make it to school. That's not good, with the first performance in a week they need everyone there as much as possible. But I keep telling her it's better to be sick today then either of the next two weekends. We're just hoping for a speedy recovery.
