Friday we spent the entire day putting up Christmas decorations. We do this every year, but this year was a little different in that our basement flooded in June and the water got into the decorations. We though we had everything dried out or thrown out - I had every ornament laying out on the living room florr for a few days even. We knew we would need to replace a few things. But we did not expect to find that there was still water in the bottom of the tree container, that has been there for 5 months. And it was smelly! We ended up leaving the tree container on the porch so it didn't smell up the house.
Ben was able to find a new tree at Home Depot. This one already has lights on it, which is nice. We had been thinking about getting one of these for a few years, but never wanted to spend the money when we had a perfectly good tree already.
This tree is very bright. It pretty much lights up the entire room by itself. But we like it.
