I took Sam to the Dr. this afternoon to find out about the bump on his nose. She said that she thinks it's most likely a scar from something that happened on the inside, like an ingrown hair for example. She doesn't think its a cyst since it hasn't changed much in the last few months. It should continue to fade and flatten. If we want, she can refer us to a dermatologist and see if they will remove it, but she didn't recommend it at this age. If it darkens or grows, we need to go back and have it looked at again.
Scar tissue makes sense to me since its never bothered him and has gotten a little lighter as time goes on. We're just going to have to wait and see if it bothers us (or him) enough to go through getting it removed.
