Last week we gave Sam cold medicine before bed on several nights - he was very stuffed up and we thought he'd sleep better if he could breathe through his nose. But over the weekend, he seemed to feel better, but was still repeatedly asking for medicine at bedtime. So we had to distract him to forget about it since we didn't really feel he needed the medicine.
Tonight he got the hiccups and told me he thought he'd better take his medicine. I told him the medicine was for a stuffed up nose and coughing, not hiccups. He proceeded to cough a few times, each time saying, "That's real, that's not fake."
I don't get it. Maria has to be completely miserable to take any kind of medicine, and Sam wants to take it when he's not even sick!
